With her initial training as an Interior Designer, Katherine holds a unique perspective among her Architect colleagues. At a young age Gretchen learned that she had a passion for the arts and utilized this desire as a creative outlet for expression. At the age of 17 Gretchen moved to Orlando, FL, while developing her analytical mindset she continued to refine her awareness and intuitive sense for design. In 2012 she received her bachelors of fine art degree in interior design and is currently in pursuit of her NCIDQ to become licensed. Gretchen is continually refining herself through her work. She prides herself in understanding current design methodologies and utilizing these processes to enlighten her design philosophies. Assisting clients with spatial understanding and problem solving through the creative process is a task that Gretchen describes as a priority. While possessing a critical eye for detail she believes that good design touches and affects everyone in a different and unique way. In her own words Gretchen states that ‘Design is not simply aesthetics, it is the process of creating an experience for the client and its end user’.
As a recent college graduate, Courtney has spent the last two years refining her design philosophy while expanding her knowledge of the architectural process and profession. After growing up in the Midwest, spending the last couple of years in Portland, Oregon, and now living in Orlando, Courtney has had the unique opportunity to experience contrasting environments and how these variations in context and climate inform the design process. She places a profound significance in perfecting details and focusing on how spaces will affect the human experience. Courtney is inspired by the concepts and importance of green design and implements these ideas into her unique design process. Courtney is currently pursuing her architectural license and has recently obtained her LEED AP BD+C accreditation. / Education: Master of Architecture and Urban Planning, University of Kansas.
With a formal education in Interior Architecture from Florida State University, Jessica considers herself both a creative and grounded practitioner. Utilizing the skill set and motivation accumulated through her professional experience to date, she believes the design process is best executed through the implementation of collaboration and creative problem solving. “Great design begins with a great team and process”. Jessica is continuously pursuing opportunities to expand her knowledge base while keeping up with evolving workplace trends. With a strong technical background, she finds that knowing how something functions and is assembled is the first step for innovative and productive design.
